This is courtesy of a recent forwarded email that I received from a friend.

I hope you get the giggle from it, that I did!

The Washcloth

Ladies this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a woman alive today who won't crack up over this!

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am.

I had only just packed everyone off to work and school and it was already around 8:45 am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare.

As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort.

So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the doctor said, 'My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?' I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal ... Some shopping, cleaning, cooking.

After school when my 6 year old was playing, she called out from the bathroom, 'Mommy, where's my washcloth?'

I told her to get another one from the cupboard.

She replied, 'No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.'

I'm never going back to that doctor.

Ever.

Ha ha~Made you look!

I am not fond of the media or it's constant barrage of 'skinny' chicks being perceived by the masses as more socially and aesthetically valuable. Women are valuable and pleasing to the eyes, no matter what their size or shape. Curves define a women, some are more plentiful than others--but sexy is not a size, but a state of mind. Just like 'grace' and 'style' are attributes that cannot be purchased or given out. They are either there or they are not. This goes for all women, large and small. You either are sexy, or you are anything but.

Not to mention that everyone has their own definitions of what sexy entails...(Fetish much?!)

My art history classes were never filled by anorexic, silicon enhanced, "fake and bake", barely legal 'girls'. They were filled with all sizes and shapes--especially the voluptuous ones. Skin and bone was something that was destined to be a peasant's ill-fated lot. Why did deprivation and scarcity of basic needs and desires become so chic? (I know, but I'm not telling in this blog post!)

I am waging a personal war against this, by only purchasing magazines that feature 'real' women. Of ALL REAL sizes!

No size zeroes--that in arithmetic class added up to Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING--It is a VOID--so why aspire to 'fit' that descriptor? I would rather be of substance, than unsubstantial.

I am a fan of a periodical that is a sort of Play boy for BBW's. All I can say is...

HOORAY! It's about time!

What are your feelings about BBW's vs. the prefab 99 lb. models, within the adult industry?

Is it a losing battle (punny!) or is it something that we should all support and really look inwards at out own self perception and of the media's marketing influences upon us?

All I know is that I don't like anything generic.

And I see a lot of that these days posing as sexy.

Choose wisely--think with your heart and feel with your mind.
You might surprise yourself!

Today, I am irritated, more so than usual--considering my delicate constitution and occasional bouts of hysteria(!) ha ha..

I need to vent about something and my poor blog will be the heated battle ground for my scornful verbiage.

And by the Way...For those who don't know me--

I AM a nice person.

In fact, I have been told that I am far nicer than I should be, on many different occasions and situations.

I call those "niceties"--diplomacy, common courtesy, personal respect, humility--and other various "appropriate" encouraging descriptors.

Well, here's my kicker back to some of you out there...

F*ck You.

Yeah, I said it, and I meant it--to those who have felt the need to look downwards from your toothpick constructed pillars of preconceived superiority.

F*ck You, Very much...

(Nice girls DO have their limits...)

I am aware that WE are ALL judged, all the time--by other people, every single day.
Some more than others--and this post is dedicated to all you people that live in glass houses. In fact, by that very statement alone--I've judged you too. (And the shoe fits you doesn't it?! Now start walking that mile...)

This blog post is for all those people who think they know what's best for me, that claim to understand what I am going through. Who don't get why I am the way I am and how we are ALL products of our experiences--Good and BAD. Sometimes supported and sometimes left to our own devices and resources.

And sometimes chastised to the point of emotional despair and destitution.

Some of you are very, very aware of your junkie-like addiction to being critically judgmental. Many of you get off on comments that can torment and hurt. It pleases you when others can suffer for your lack of innate decency and respect. Lack of respect for yourselves, and of course others.

And, don't get me started on those of you who base their value by berating others competitively.

I will let the evidence be your demise---and you can't challenge the blood spatter on the wall. Someone will ALWAYS be better, honey...And who's to say that they won't make you lick their boots when you are called to the mat?!

I will never profess to knowing what path another person has taken. I will however give support when I have taken a similar path or even detour.

No one is perfect.

Especially YOU your Dishonorable Judge Mental.

Nice people WILL always finish first, because we have the courtesy and gifts of social grace, verbal affluence and genuine selfless interests.

We are motivated out of love, not envy. Courage, not fear. Caring not criticism. Security not superiority...Good Karma, not bad.

We value the differences, talents and gifts of each other's individuality.

We are "nice" because it is the right thing to do, no matter how unsavory YOU may happen to be.

To you "Nice" people...Don't stop being a good person in response to the reek and rancidity of "Judgemental-types"...Let it out, vent and then be done with it. I feel better now, and I don't feel at all inferior in response to their illusionary albeit, blissful ignorance.

So, Judge Mental, take my hand.

I have a mirror to show you.

Why I am addicted to Rock star reality shows

Rock Star INXS and Supernova
Bret Michaels Rock of Love
Family Jewels....
WTF???

I seem to only watch the reality shows that have some sort of Black leather and Bad Rocker Boy appeal to them. I wish I could be broader minded but I like what I like. And my Musician Fetish is rather disconcerting to some and heralded by others. But seriously, after having the Overlord compose a song about me (right after we initially met), you are damn right that I am addicted to the music and the men in Rock Guitar-land.
Spoiled? You bet...and I deserve it! I am 100% real woman and rocker chick. I adore musicians and even their reality shows. They just Ooooze SEX appeal...

I adore that elated feeling of anticipation and excitement when you meet someone new that really stands out from the rest of the pre-fab crowd.

Individuality is not a package or pill or new trend. It isn't something you can buy or emulate--It comes from authentically living your life, the up-downs and even the sideways...Learning about your part in this world and the paths (and even quests) that you are meant to follow out in this brief and often frustrating journey.

I don't want SHEEP as friends, I want PEOPLE. I want people that DON'T bow out, cancel, chicken-sh*t, and just fail to launch. I want human qualities and genuine expression, even if I don't understand or am unable to relate. I want the passion of life and the people that understand the strength of tears, the bliss of compassion and the strange karmic ironies that are emitted through change.

I want depth and breadth and courage. I want people that aren't afraid of their shadows, but in fact embrace them in personal darkness.

I wanted to write this to verbally appreciate the special ones for their originality and individuality.

Never follow another's path,
Carve out your very own...

Why is it when I want to connect with people, they are never to be found? Perhaps I am being impatient, demanding or I'm just sick tonight of this particular site.

Whatever--I am going to have a bubble bath, and forget the world's problems and my lust for adventure tonight.

My Overlord should be home soon, and that in itself shall make my perspective whole again.

Too cold...Brrrrrr
My ancestral roots are from the frozen ice fjords, so I should be used to this icy Northern climate by hereditary traits alone.
Unfortunately, I am a wimp...I like balance, temperate climes--not sub-zero conditions.
The only things I like cold are champagne and the occasional iced cappuccino.

I am however, beginning to warm with the prospect of new experiences on the horizon. Life is full of opportunities that I invite open heartedly when genuine in nature.

Perhaps you can make the icy goddess melt?

SICK OF THE MEDIA WHORES

I recently went on a tangent with a topic from a group I belong to...It had to do with Celebrities and their whining.
Sometimes I just rant hoping that someone else shares my hopes and disappoinments with humanity. Thoughts are energy and hopefully if enough positive ones are out there, change will begin to occur.
Everyone wants to feel special. I don't disagree with this fundamental human need. Some need this sensation/state of being more than others, but what is REALLY important?!
Dior dresses that cost as much as a family home? Wearing jewelry that is worth more than many middle class families earnings for decades--if not more!!! Yes the poor always whine because they 'Can't...
Well those that are FORTUNE-assed wouldn't like the shoe on the other foot(or anywhere else!), so why are THEY considered so special--just because they can sing, act, or just appear(Oh hello Paris--Not happy to see you again!)?
I recently saw a woman on television that wrote a book on her experience in the Rwandan Genocide. It amazed me and gave me hope for humanity. Little are raising money for worthwhile charities--because they CAN understand injustices far more than many adults I encounter on a daily basis.
Why are these people not considered the TRUE celebrities heralded for their REAL accomplishments? Hmmmmmm....
The entertainment industry and advertisers are to blame. I am sick of all the shallow pettiness and compitition. We have an epidemic of narcissists that will spend more money on their nails in a year than some people have budgeted for groceries. The Enquirer and People make money off of the fascination we have for these "otherworldly" entities--That have been prepackaged and created for us to be fascinated and envious of.
We are all responsible for our actions, or lack of them.
We are NOT victims of our culture and mass media. We still have choice and free will, and the fact that many people are so disatisfied with the state of their OWN lives is downright frightful.
We DO have choices. We have the ability to think rationally and Objectively. Be analytical and skeptical. Be smart, not a member of the 'Sheeps Anonymous' Organization.
It is a crime that we allow ourselves to undermine our own self perceptions due to comparisons of others.
Nip Tuck--Go Fudge yourselves!
Eat the rich, if they don't sicken you for life first.
What would I do if I had that celebrity power--or incredible wealth?
It what I COULD to do for others that really matters to me. Sucess would be that ability to share without judgement or ulterior motives. To help others...For all of us to Share and Shine and DO better...
Suffering is unecessary today.
We have the means and abilities to support this world effectively.
I may sound preachy,(oh the Bleeding Heart...Wah wah, wah...) but really--who seems to care about the BIG stuff anymore?
We NEED to.
We ALL ESPERATELY NEED TO!
When did we become so disconnected?
Pay attention to your , visit the elderly, save an animal in distress...Do something that matters.
KILL YOUR TELEVISION SET.
People do not deserve to die or starve.
We can change our attitudes, just like we can change the channel.
Love me or hate me.
I DON'T care.
Just don't underestimate your OWN power and abilty to change, or create change.
The rich really like us just the way we are.
Consume without questioning.
We need to question--and demand ANSWERS.
WAKE THE HECK UP!!!

Goddess Tarot

Today I will pick a card from my deck of Goddess Tarot cards and deliver the message/theme of the day...
Here goes...(Ah, one of my all time Favorite Ladies~Since I am of Scandinavian Ancestry myself-- "Is Good...Don'tcha' know!")

FREYA (IV~Power Asssociated with the Suit of Staves) Image is that of a fair haired goddess driving a feline drawn chariot in the sky.

She is the Norse Goddess of Love, Creativity and Beauty. Often associated with Venus/Aphrodite. She shows that true power lies in the ability to decipher between passivity and aggression. The ability to be able to choose the right stance at the appropriate time.
The meaning of this card is to acknowledge and use your power 'wisely'. You are to lead and inspire others. The ability to work 'the system'.

For the Love of Freya!
Have a Beautiful, Creative and SEXY Day!

Additional Freya Info: (From Encyclopedia Mythica) In Norse mythology, Freya is a goddess of love and fertility, and the most beautiful and propitious of the goddesses. She is the patron goddess of crops and birth, the symbol of sensuality and was called upon in matters of love. She loves music, spring and flowers, and is particularly fond of the elves (fairies). Freya is one of the foremost goddesses of the Vanir.

She is the of the god Njord, and the sister of Freyr. Later she married the mysterious god Od (probably another form of Odin), who disappeared. When she mourned for her lost husband, her tears changed into gold.

Her attributes are the precious necklace of the Brisings, which she obtained by sleeping with four dwarfs, a cloak (or skin) of bird feathers, which allows its wearer to change into a falcon, and a chariot pulled by two cats. She owns Hildesvini ("battle boar") which is actually her human lover Ottar in disguise. Her chambermaid is Fulla. Freya lives in the beautiful palace Folkvang ("field of folk"), a place where love songs are always played, and her hall is Sessrumnir. She divides the slain warriors with Odin: one half goes to her palace, while the other half goes to Valhalla. Women also go to her hall.
FREYA: Goddess of Love, Fertility and Sexual Desire. She's also a feisty warrior and Queen of the VALKYRIES.

(From Scandinavian Gods) The of NJORD, and the beautiful twin sister of FREYR, she is - to put it in modern vernacular - a bit of a goer. She did marry a God called OD, causing much confusion amongst academics and historians who have confused him with ODIN leading to further confusion by confusing her with FRIGG. (This is why you need Godchecker.) But OD was a bit of a goer himself and nipped out one day for pastures new.

This caused much weeping of golden tears, but as usual FREYA made the best of a bad job and really went off the rails. She ran wild with Gods, mortals, giants and dwarves.

The stories and allegations of how she gained possession of Brisingamen, the golden amber necklace of desire, are scandalous. Especially the one about her bedding four dwarves in turn before they would give it to her. But this sort of thing is just titillation. In any case, the necklace was stolen by LOKI and - although it was rescued by HEIMDALL - we don't think she got it back.

Being a strong-willed warrior maiden, she joined and then led the VALKYRIES - so that she could have first pick of the slain battlefield warriors. Most of the slain go to VALHALLA, but the good-looking heroes go straight to her palace for rest and recuperation.

But FREYA does have a softer side - she loves romantic music and bunches of flowers. Her daughters are the beautiful HNOSS and the equally beautiful GERSEMI.

Freya or Frayja, the goddess of Love and Beauty, also; fertility, war, and wealth. The of Njord, and the sister of Frey. Her , by her husband, Od, is named Hnoss, who it is said: "Is so beautiful that whatever is valuable and lovely is named treasure after her."

Freya lived in Folkvang (battlefield) and each day chose half of the slain warriors to split with Odin. She somehow lost her husband, Od, and cried golden tears for him. Many believe Od is Odin.

Norse legend tells of Freya, whose chariot was pulled by two black cats. Some versions of the tale claim they became swift black horses, possessed by the Devil. After serving Freya for 7 years, the cats were rewarded by being turned into witches, disguised as black cats. The cats also played around her ankles as a symbol of her domesticity.

Freya owned the precious Brisinga-men's necklace, which she acquired by sleeping with four dwarves. She also owned a feather coat which she could use to fly between the worlds. Freya was also known as the goddess of magic and divination.

Freya was one of the few Norse female characters who had a major role, an exception to the general rule of lower status for goddesses compared to gods. She was revered by women.

Some sources say Friday is named after her.

Both Aphrodite and Freya are goddesses of love and fertility/reproduction. In keeping with the apparent Norse acceptance of infidelity, Freya is much more a goddess of lust, being identified with sexual freedom. In this way she was almost identical to Aphrodite, as both were well-known for their numerous partners. While one of Freya's prized possessions was her famous necklace, Aphrodite, similarly, was renowned for her girdle. In many stories, both goddesses were asked to "lend" these adornments to others.

Because of her association with divination, Freya has some of the characteristics which the Greeks assigned to Apollo.

There are moments in my life where I really am aggravated by the opposite sex...
Or, perhaps it is just normal gender rivalry due to living my life in such closed quarters with my partner. The differences in the Nature/Nurture dillemma seems to rear their head from time to time and I just want to either be alone, or in a room with understanding women that can relate to my concerns.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MEN...
(Well, certain ones, at least)
But there are times where our thinking patterns and priorities don't go peacefully hand in hand, and I feel like I should go running for the nearest copies of Pop Drabble--the 'Venus and Mars' book series.
I'm not feeling like my relationship, my life, or my senses are balanced today.
Who else shares my prickly mood?
