It's a wash!

It's a wash! Or, more accurately, a scrub. I bought the Spawn a face scrub a while ago and thought I'd give it a try last night. These masks have been taking a toll on my skin.... So, there I was! Scrub in hand, I squeezed a small amount into my palm and started to smooth it across my forehead, chin, and nose. "Oh, that's tingly." Using my fingertips, I gently rolled the gritty particles across my skin and focused on the areas that needed the most help. T-Zone.... Nose.... Chin.... Between sweat and oily skin beneath the masks, I managed to find myself with another pimple next to my nose and my skin hasn't had a breakout in years. "Woah! I'm going to have to wash this off!" What the hell was in this scrub? Eyes watering, skin tingling, I rinsed it off and patted my face dry. Fast forward to this morning..... "Aaah!" It's not a good sign when the sight of your face startles you first thing in the morning. Everywhere I had used the scrub my skin was red and tight. It's quite possible I removed more than just my dead surface skin cells...... "Oh my God, what was in that stuff??" Salicylic acid. Um, ok, I've used that before. It helps to keep skin clean and clear of pore clogging debris.... It has been years though. Apparently my old skin isn't hearty enough to withstand a 's face scrub?? Good lord... Getting old is a bitch! Looks like I'll need a burka today.... Happy Wednesday! |

Oh god I found out the hard way 20 years ago that my skin is allergic to salicylic acid! I had a red rash that progressed to fucking PEELING on my face! Then it was rough for another week. I so hope you don't go through that.

You weren't exaggerating when you said ring side seats. Because you are a fighter. I hope you feel better.

There are a lot of people who have worse skin issues than I do, so I can't really complain about the maskne thing. But it is really embarrassing when they do pop out. I feel like a woman my age shouldn't have to worry about zits. Ugh!

guess there were a few layers of old skin that had to go...think how fresh and young you WILL look in the next few days

Get an orange wig and a red nose and call it a day!!!!

Ouch, that sounds painful McLade.......hope it returns to normal soon. I'd hang on to that stuff mind......apply it to a guy's nethers if he doesnae turn out to be as good as you'd hoped!?!?

Ouch! I use Zerobase emolient cream on my lower legs (dry skin). That works rally well.

Oh my. I hate wearing a mask for even limited times. I've noticed the spot where mask and glasses collide is tough on my nose. Add that no matter which type of mask I use , my glasses fog up. Lol. I hope your skin heals up quickly.

For those of you that have to wear those mask all day, just think of all that bacteria that stays in your mouth { breath ) At this time I do a saltwater rinse at work and It shure helps

Yah, I'm not claiming to be a genius. Those warnings were created for people like me. Do we heed them? Nope....

I've had both vaccines but we're still mandated to wear the masks. Good God... I feel like this thing has aged me 10 years.

Hmmm... I was going to give some smartass remark, but faces are delicate and important to everyone's self esteem and well being. I understand EXACTLY what you mean. As someone who suffers from delicate skin, fucking up your face is NOT fun! Fortunately, facial skin heals quickly. I use a gentle face-cloth and that's it. Then again, I probably use less makeup than you. 🌹 🍷 🍷 😎 ❗
