The Duke, I of course am referring to John Wayne. I have emphasized this with God sons many times in the past. But as they get older , their perspective is changing. As many of you know, John Wayne was an action type actor. In my opinion (remember, an opinion is one of several things we all have 😊) he was one of the greatest role models for the boys and all . Exuding an aura of confidence, fairness and patriotism. His roles were certainly in some cases over blown purposely . My boys continue to be surprised by some of his actions in the movies, like sticking to his values, sometimes to the detriment of his character. Although not a politically correct character, he always seemed to be honest and fair, attributes that shows what a man should be. Do you remember John Wayne? Did you enjoy his character (s) in the movies?

 John Wayne ( duke ) represented "every man" and showed me how to be an American. How to live and let all others to choose their own path in life..

 Just a little John Wayne trivia:
In a lot of his movies they made the doors shorter so he would appear taller!
If he was working with a taller actor they would use camera angel or sometimes dig a small trench for the actor to stand in
Hollywood was always using sets to make him look larger, but he was the kind of man that "Size didn't matter", as they say!

 Used to enjoy his movies as my dad had them on all the time. Then i discovered he was a racists, of course this would not matter to those then or now who are not minority/marginalized. My opinion of him has changed~~
