Some more bling updates...

Some more bling updates... First - I am aware that the latest version of the bling editor has a few bugs (suggest avoid the airbrush tool until Monday when the developer will push out a fix to it). Also aware that the editor works best currently using the Firefox browser. Second - new bling stuff 1. Multiple size bling - I turned off the bling stretching that was making the 20x20 bling look bigger - they now look nicer. Also, gold members are able to create bling as large as 40x40. If you are a gold member, you will see links on the bling manager page for the different sizes you can make. 2. Bling gifts accepting - After getting several "interesting" bling from others and wanting to accept them but not show them on my profile, I modified the accepting process - now when you accept bling, it will only show up on your bling manager page. You can THEN decide which of the bling to show on your profile... the sender will at least know that you accepted it  3. Most popular bling in last week and most popular paid bling - this way newer cool bling can get some exposure as well as you can see who's making the most points 'selling' bling. 4. Prettier packing on bling - ok, this one was just fun to code up last night... as we now have different sized bling and want the bling to show up close to each other, had to use a "bin packing" algorithm to find a pretty way to organize bling. You'll see it when you search who has taken a bling as well as the [bling all] tag below  5. [bling all] tag - got a lot of bling you want to show in your posts and don't want to type in each individually? Just try the following: [bling all] (defaults to 400 pixels wide)

What would be a nice addition with this is a way that a member could have easier access to their Blings in all area's of postings in order to inserting their Bling in a posting they make. As you can see Andrew, the members have many Bling designs and that means many random Bling id numbers to trying to remembering. Our profiles show and the "Bling Editing Tool" show us our collection of Blings we have designed. Is there not a way that an additional link could be created and placed in the Tool Bar of the post text box that would produce a popup window to showing an individual member their Blings with the id# so they do not have to go to the Bling Link to getting their Bling ID number in order to inserting in a topic or responding to one? In other words a short cut for the members to access their Blings wherever they would make a posting.  Nick

This whole bling thing is entertaining to say the least! But, I have a couple concerns.... 1. Why does the whole screen disappear (AFTER) I have made the whole bling...when I fill in one of the corner squares? 2. I am not getting the tools. They have shown up once or twice then...POOF...gone! A guide on using the tools would be helpful for us "tool usage dummies"! 3. Why does it say that "Great Minds think alike" when I have completed a bling similar to anothers when there is obviously so many that are similar??? Good idea here and I am really enjoying it! I'm sure i read somewhere that your only allowed to create 50 bling?  ....is this true? ...so when i get to 50 no more? *cries* ...can i keep deleting no50? ...and adding new ones? lol ...you have to increase that number i feel! ....the fun will all be over before its begun!

How about an update on the situation with "who's viewed me" and webcams? I think there are a lot more people who are interested in that, than in the bling distraction. If you're taking those features away from standard members, fine, just be honest about it and let us know. I realize this is not a charity and that you need to make money. However, I've never felt guilty about being a standard member because I know that my pictures and the fact that I webcam are part of what brings members in. Don't you think it might have an adverse effect on your membership if we female standard members stop webcamming because it's not fun for us to broadcase without being able to view?

I cant see who's viewed me either, havent been able to since feb 28. those are the last views that i see, and I know there have been views cause I have had people view me on purpose to see if it was updating. I just gave a bling gift to someone more than a half hour ago and he hasnt received it yet...how long does it take?

yes, the views are showing, but the total count of views since you joined hasnt updated the actual number. at least now we can see the people who have viewed us. also, it took more than an hour for the offering of the bling to show..which isnt a problem to me, but i thought i'd let ya know.

Just a suggestion about the Bling editing as well. Many members do not know the term of "Tag or Tagging" in relationship of keywords (Meta-tags); consequently, many are not using them to correlations of the Bling search. I actually do not just add a name to the Bling I created, or description name in the field, but also I add my handle to it as well so any member that might be curious as to what Blings I have designed can be found by them. You can test it out, just type Your1DreamLover in the Bling search and see what pops up, and then type your handle and see the difference.

This is another suggestion Andrew. Signatures do not appear in Group (or other forums, i.e. Magazine) postings as they do in Blogs. Isn't there a way that members can also use a tag command to displaying their signatures in all postings they make or as an option of inserting one? A simple tag of [sig Memberid] or [Sgniture Memberid] would be a nice addition. There are times that I rather not have my signature displayed on a posting; however, I would have to edit my signature settings to on and off back and forth from topic to topic I might post in, which is quite a hassle to doing. Having the use of a tag would be so much simplified for the members like myself that prefer not using a signature in every single posting they make.

I know this is a site for blings stuff but I don't know where else to go with my problems. I've called numerous times on my issues and no one has ever called me back on anything. I've received an email or two but still nothing has been resolved. Please bring up my account and look at all the problems we're having and see if there is something that can be done to resolve at least some of them. I'm tired of spending more money to call long distance to Passion just to be told they can't do anything, leave your number and someone will get back to you. I've done that 11 times in the last month and never have I received one phone call. These are the issues affecting my account today. And again I'm sorry for taking up bling space, but I don't know what else to do. 1. And most important!!! We can't get on cam to broadcast most of the time, and if we do we can only have people view us from our chat room or our profile. If by chance we do get on the list of people broadcasting now, we get booted within a few min. This has been going on since last Nov. That's 4 months. 2. We can't get pages if we do get on cam 99% of the time, and people who send us pages at that time get a message back that we declined them. We have gotten some nasty emails from people we were trying to get together with, because they thought we declined them. We've even been blocked by 1. We've lost out on meeting at least 3 couples in our area because of this. 3.We were # 2 on the hottest member list. Now we are totally off the list and so is everyone else that was on it a few days ago. This is how we get a lot of our views to be there and now it's not right. 4.We can't view pix sent to us on our emails. It comes up with a message center page. 5. The IM thing don't work half the time and when it does it cuts you off and shuts down while you're chatting with someone. 6.We have a chat room with over 4000 people in it, but it shows 0 members and you can't see who the members are. 7.our group chat room disappears from our front page all the time. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it don't. 8.When we try to get into our chat room from the Group chat room page, it won't go into the chat room. This happens about half the time. When we do get in there and we're chatting with someone it will freeze up and new messages won't show up. 9.When we're chatting in the chat room it will go to "Invalid chat room name" It takes up the whole screen and also the members in the room chatting disappear and this Invalid thing shows up. 10. When we try to view the cams that are broadcasting, they won't come on. A white page shows up and stays that way, and it won't go to the next page of cams. These are todays issues that we have. It gets worse every day. We've been given free time for our trouble, but what good is that if nothing is fixed. We've lost as much, if not more, of our paid for time as we've been given free. PLEASE!!!! try to see if something can be done to help us. We've been Gold members for almost 3 yrs. Give us a reason to renew our membership. Thanks for any time you can give to our problems or please turn it over to someone that can fix it. I know we're only one member, but I'll bet there are lots of others with the same problems and think it's something they're doing wrong. At least that's what we're told when we call Passion for help. Please spend some time fixing the foundation of your site before you put on the trim of the Bling and other games that have to be taking up a lot of the programmers time. Another glitch noted this week-end... none of my blings can be taken by people when they come to my profile... the word 'take' has disappeared from beneath my blings... In the editor they all say anyone can take them... Also the bling works great on Safari too.

I am only able to have 100 bling and then I have to remove bling to add bling. Do standard members only get 100? And BTW: BACK TO THE FUTURE: The clock still shows us somewhere around ten hours in the future. I get emails posted tomorrow, today. I never know when my friends are really on... and we do sinc our clocks to be online at the same time to chat, to blog, and yes, possibly find that one whose panache of the pen makes us ever so amorous. We were told to post on here with our problems as Luvpump may have been able to help us, but we haven't heard anything. Guess our problems aren't serious enough for the help we wanted. To bad there isn't a blog or topic of some kind that people could post their problems and have someone at AdultFriendFinder monitor it to see how many are affected by the same problems and get them fixed or at least let us know they are working on them. I just had another hour and a half long distance phone call to AdultFriendFinder to get nothing accomplished. That's 8 hours or more of long distance calls in the last 2 weeks to have all the same problems and more that we started with. Why can't someone fix something down there? To busy playing games instead of giving us what we pay for.

ANOTHER PROBLEM HERE.... SINCE THE BLINGS THE LOADING GETS STUCK sometimes after htt on the bar and other times it loads but just keeps spinning. other times the pages wont load at all. I think I am going to have to give up the bling. Hi again

I too am having problems with my group with posts not showing and members being banned. Also although I know the USA decided that summer started early, but here in the uk we are actually still on GMT till the 25th march - not BST as the site has us. Emails are also not getting through, lots of problems being caused by that - once again thats a bug thats been reported numerous occasions. And total view count, will that ever be fixed? Since that went awry I as a standard member have lost all my priviliges - emails, hotlists etc - bit if a pain when moderating a group. I fully agree with Moon, you(this site) are lucky to have people like us moderating groups and chatrooms, its those that keep people here on the site as members, many deciding to pay. Its us that help keep this site so successful, and all we ask are for the tools to do our jobs properly - not bling Missy  [MISSY

We've got to agree with the fact that moderators get little recognition or even just plain answers. Andrew, we've been paid gold members for almost two years now, and feel that we couldn't probably moderate our group if we weren't so. There has to be some way of arranging things so that we are able to email group members and view profiles, etc, no ?

In a way I agree with Fallmoon about the silver members unable to view a new members profile. In the past it was that Gold members would be notified of new members joining the site by email based upon the cupid settings 3 days before the silver member would be notified. If I remember correctly. Without any noticed that was changed to where a silver member would not be able to view a new member profile till after 3 days. On the site no one knows exactly what member recently joined the site; consequently, the advantage is still placed in the Gold members benefit based on the Cupid email notifications. Personally I do not believe that old system of the cupid notification needed any changes. Just my opinion and little 0.01 added.

What about the bling disappearing on you after you have finished it? I mean I will have all of it done and when doing my final touches, I will color a corner square on the grid and POOF...all gone! Looks like the bling thing is now being treated just like the rest of the problems on here. Good luck getting anything fixed. We started our blog about site problems with 10 issues we needed fixed and there are still 10 things that need fixed. Good job guys.

Andrew, Since adding the paint sprayer to the Bling editor tools the RGB values of colors are not able to be manually inputed in Firefox as they were before. Many of your Blingers (members) use Firefox and prefer entering the RGB values to declaring the colors. Could you please restore the RGB input. Thanks...

I am gettin really tired of being a silver (PAID) member on this site, moderating 1 of the top groups on here and I cant even see a profile of a new member that joins my group, I have to wait 3 days... THATS BULLSHIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This site is lucky you have me moderating that group, I have so many members that stay on this site just for that !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We talked with a manager at AFU last night and he confirmed that all the problems we are concerned with are on going problems for everyone in some form or another and they are working on it. There is nothing they can do for us individually because they still don't know what all the problems are. They are so wide spread and vary so much from person to person and only don't work part of the time that they haven't nailed down the problems yet. This always happens when there is going to be an update to the site and they are testing the new updates. All we can do is wait for them to fix it and know we're not alone in this. It affects everyone. Sorry I don't have better news for everyone. I would still suggest you send them your complaints and problems in the form of emails to whoever you want to send them to to let them know we're still unhappy with all that's wrong and we're not giving up. Any other suggestions???? I posted this on several different blogs and groups, as I said I would. So if you see it more than once you'll know why. Get the word around.

We posted this on the new BLING contest page and got a note from the event's lady that it was not appropriate for the blog or topic or whatever they call it. She said she would forward it to the proper people in hopes of getting these things fixed. I don't hold out much hope, but since I can't post it there, we will post it a few other places. If you see it more than once, sorry. But we need to get it out to everyone that these problems are not our fault and they are A>F>F's fault and they need to fix them. We'll give you a few of our bug # that haven't been addressed for quite some time. We don't need more bling, we need the site to work the way we paid for it to work. That would be correctly. #1 Cams not working most of the time. #41672 & 42133 This has been since the beginning of Jan. #2 Hottest member list. #42679 & 42807 This has been this way since Mar. 1st. #3 No number change for People who viewed us. #43196 This has been this way since Mar. 1st. #4 Can't view pix that were sent with e-mails. Just comes up message board. #43149 Hasn't worked for at least 2 weeks. #5 The IM don't work most of the time. #43446 Who knows how long for this. My guess is it never worked properly. #6 I have several chat room problems and wasn't told which one this number was for. Pick one. A. Shows 0 members in chat room members when there are over 4000. B. Group showing chat room disappeared from front page. C. Chat room goes to " Invalid chat room name while in there. It happens to the members viewing side and also the chat room it's self while we're chatting with people. #7 Don't get any pages when we do get on cam. Whoever sent the page gets a message saying their page was "declined". Then we get a nasty email asking why we declined them. #8 We click on cams to watch and they come up white and stay that way. They never connect. #9 Try to click to go to next page and it stays white and won't connect. Stays that way for 5-20 min. at a time. #10 If you read an email and delete it, it goes back to the home page, not the next email. #11 When you try to go from page to page it makes you sign in again like you've been away to long. #12 On the network page the Most Networked People list is never right. We know we should be on that list most of the time. We always have more people added to our network than the people on the list. #13 On the network page the most inviting members is never right. Again we know how many we send out and we're never on the list. We have had 5 of our intro videos deleted for no reason. 2 or 3 after they had been on the site for over a year. #42120 We had all our albums deleted for no reason and then you wouldn't put them back. We couldn't get into our network for over a year. Most of our friends network was deleted for no reason. These are most of our complaints that aren't working right now. We took pix of the screen with the problem showing for 5 of the problems and sent them to you. Still nothing has been done to fix them. The last few were just to let you know this is nothing new and there was nothing that you could do to fix any of it. We don't want games or bling or any of the other stuff you want to give us. We just want the site to work like you said it would when we joined. We want what we paid for. In the past when something went wrong, we would call up and you would get it fixed then or if it was really bad, in a few days. Now things are not working for months and nothing is being done at all that we can see. The cams haven't worked right since Thanksgiving weekend when everyone took the weekend off. That was smart. Forget the games and fix the site. That's all we want.

I agree with gator, and some of those problems like #6 and #9 happen 'some' or 'alot' of the time but not all the time, so you have to browse the site alot to see it. with problem #9 after the page stays white for a while my browse will give me 'the page cannot be found (error- unknown -1)' or 'internet explorer cannot display the webpage', so i click back and click on the page again and it works fine. I get alot of the 0 members sometimes too. Sometimes it even shows the group page as if i've never posted or joined any groups and I've posted over 8000 posts/replies.....this has been going on since 'at least' the beginning of the year.

How about emailing the people who took the bling and explain that you want to delete it. Maybe you can offer to give them another one to replace it. If you just want to remove it from your profile you can do that too. But if you want to delete it all together, I don't know if that would effect those who "took" it already.
