It will make your post to show up in the "Recently Blog Posts". Otherwise, your post will never show up anywhere else, and no one will know you have posted your blogs. The first comment in your blog posts doesn't have to be anything special. People just put "The magic comment", "My obligatory comment", or you can really write what you wanna say, in your first comment, too. There are some wonderful bloggers here, so be sure to check other bloggers' posts, and leave them your comments. It's a good way to leave your foot prints in their blogs, and you will get to know more people as you mingle and reciprocate! And if you are a standard member, you can set up a private inbox, so even if you can't communicate with other members though mails, you still can communicate though your blogs. sound advice, was thinking about starting a blog myself but not sure what to do with it, i'm not a journal keeper. last person I met on this thing was over 20 yrs ago so I would say yes but not often. This site has been on the decline for several decades now.

FALSE! This website is FAKE. There are no actual PEOPLE in this. I don't know where they get all the pictures from, but nobody meets anybody here - it's all a SCAM.

Don't use the blog section to find great people to meet  use the the search function, be honest about your desires and you will have plenty of dates  I use it every time I travel to a new town, sign up for God for a month and by the time the month is over, I have found more than a few.
